The Love Poem

Never thought of letting go
From the very first moment my heart started telling me so
A connection, a bond that I had never once felt
You gave me assurance... even peace
You were like a un-revealed card that was never dealt
Coming in I had a lock on my heart & I really didn't know what to expect
But you showed me something new, gave me support
And most importantly you showed me some respect
We were inseparable
And every moment for me was Kodak memorable .
I thought time will tell , but you never changed
Through the clouds & the ground, you stayed the same
Thank you for rescuing me
Even when you knew I wasn't ready
You opened my heart so I decided to give it to you
And if this isn't love, I think I might give that up too
I'm ready to take off & go far
And if I ever reach for the moon
I know I always end up on a star
You changed me only for the better
Yeah, you make me better
But if we ever get lost again
I hope that we find our way back to each other in the end
Never needed the words I love you
But once you said them, I had some type of security
